Inevitably, we’ve all asked ourselves these pivotal questions year after year. As New Year’s Resolutions come and go, many of us find ourselves in a cycle that often leads to unfulfilling results and no closer to our true goals in life.
If this sounds like you, I hope you’ll join me for a virtual workshop I’m hosting from 9 to 11 a.m. EDT on October 19. Like all of you, I’ve had my share of ups and downs, which have shaped me into the leader, father, and husband I am today. I look forward to sharing with you what I’ve learned along the way and how I’ve turned these learnings into living an extraordinary life, one incredible year at a time.
Here’s what you can expect:
Life Assessment: This invaluable tool is one of my favorites. The first part invites you to take an honest and intimate look at where you currently stand in different areas of your life, such as your family, finances, and fulfillment. From there, you’ll identify opportunities for improvement and growth, bringing clarity and purpose to your goals.
Personal Compass: My own Personal Compass is something that I come back to day in and day out. It focuses on what I call Perfect Life Metrics, which I’ll share more about with you in the workshop. The compass is invaluable in helping you define your values and establish your direction in life.
Annual Calendar & Personal Accomplishments: Balancing the demands of my career with my responsibilities as a father and husband is my most important priority. I’ve learned the importance of time management and setting achievable targets for my goals. I look forward to sharing my insights with you.
As you can see, we’ll review several tools in this workshop. I’ve included them for you here so you can familiarize yourself with them before the workshop, but don’t worry about having them filled out beforehand. As with all of my live events, don’t hesitate to come with your questions!

Announcing Tim Tebow as a Keynote Speaker at our November Event
When I plan these large-scale events with my team, I always prioritize the same thing: speakers that are engaging, able to provide unparalleled value to our audience, and, most importantly, that align with our mission. I am thrilled and humbled to share with you today that renowned athlete and philanthropist Tim Tebow will be taking the stage as our first keynote speaker at the upcoming Elite & Prosperity Family, Wealth, and Legacy Event this November. The Tim Tebow Foundation serves an extremely powerful mission: to bring faith, hope, and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour. I find myself so inspired by his work and know you all will be, too. He’ll share his unique perspective on leadership, perseverance, and building a meaningful legacy with us. Living Fully Day 2023
In our last Don’s Thoughts, I shared a bit about the meaning of Living Fully Day, which has been an annual tradition at DLP Capital for four years now. This year, we took a different approach to Living Fully Day, throwing our team members a bit of a curveball–but the good kind.
In the lead-up to this day, I emailed our team a simple question: what would you do if you had a free day–no work, no obligations, just a day to dive into old passions or new interests? We received dozens of responses, with people sharing that they’d use the free time to do everything from redecorating their home to spending the day surfing or horseback riding.
With my oldest son Donny by my side, I kicked off Living Fully Day with a brief presentation on what living fully means. I set the stage for our usual Living Fully Day–a day of workshops and activities centered around the theme.
Then the twist came: I gave everyone exactly what I’d hinted in that email–a free day. By 9:15 a.m. on a Friday, DLP Capital team members were off to do whatever they pleased with time they didn’t expect to have. As a CEO, I’ve had the opportunity to do some memorable things, but this was one of the top. I asked the team to share highlights of their free day with us and saw everything from charitable giving and trips to art museums to shooting hoops with other team members. Here are some highlights:
