Job Description
The Investor Retirement Specialist is responsible for delivering a world-class onboarding and service experience for DLP investors with qualified retirement accounts.
The Investor Retirement Specialist serves as the primary internal point of contact for custodians partnered with DLP, ensuring all investment instructions, documentation, and account activities are processed accurately and on time. This role remains up to date on custodian rules, requirements, and procedures to maintain a smooth and compliant investment experience for our investors.
The Investor Retirement Specialist acts as an on-demand resource to support the team and address investor needs related specifically to qualified account onboarding, transfers, contributions, and ongoing retirement account servicing.

What you are great at: (Responsibilities)
- Collect all required information for new IRA related investments and additions
- Assist with collecting all required information for new cash related investments and additions as needed
- Verify custodian transfer exchanges and wire receipts when requested.
- Hold "onboarding" communication with new investors to review subscriptions to the funding process.
- Provide up to date communication with all investors regarding the status of their investment with the custodian.
- Maintain internal DLP file requirements across all technology platforms.
- Understand all custodian processes from account opening, funding the investment to servicing the accounts to ensure timely funding.
- Escalate investments to the assigned Investor Success Manager when there are delays in communication with investors or investors have not executed within the specified timeline.
- Respond to any investor account servicing inquiry. Provide notes and details within CRM for team transparency. Collaborate and coordinate with internal team members to solve investor questions and issues.
- Note this includes but not limited to:
- ACH updates
- Distribution changes
- Contact information updates
- Portal password resets
- Beneficiary designations
- Ensuring IRA positions invested in DLP Capital align with custodial records
- Facilitate yearly fair market evaluation reporting between DLP Capital and custodians
- Leverage CRM, AppFolio, and relevant company tools to record all investor interactions to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of sales, operations, and DLP leadership.
- Coordinate with required DLP Capital team members to work with new custodians to onboard DLP funds to their platform.
- Active participation in all applicable company meetings
- Maintain up to date knowledge and expertise in DLP Funds and industry/market overall
- Attend Company Trainings and Industry Events as applicable
- Utilize DLP resources and events for investor inquiries.
- Develop a reputation with investors for responsiveness, service, and positive outcomes
- Ensure Investors receive a world class service in preparation and completion of their qualified account investment paperwork.
