Dream Outdoor Resorts Events & Sales Manager

The Dream Outdoor Resorts (DOR) Events & Sales Manager will own the strategy, development, and execution of events hosted at DLP’s portfolio of outdoor hospitality properties. This individual will think beyond typical events—driving revenue and engagement by curating and executing unforgettable experiences for corporate clients, mission-aligned organizations, masterminds, and experiential groups. The DOR Event & Sales Manager will also coordinate with onsite resort management to deliver white-glove execution while building brand affinity and community at each property.

What you have already achieved: (Requirements)

  • Proven experience in experiential event planning, hospitality, or destination event marketing
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to build something from the ground up
  • Strong communication skills with comfort in pitching ideas and negotiating with vendors/clients
  • Ability to travel frequently between resort properties across the Southeast and Midwest
  • Creative thinker with the ability to envision unique event use cases for outdoor venues
  • Familiarity with resort operations, AV coordination, food and beverage logistics, and group accommodations
  • Comfortable managing budgets, contracts, timelines, and internal coordination

What you are great at: (Responsibilities) 

  • Develop and execute an annual strategic plan to attract corporate retreats, team offsites, thought-leader gatherings, and experiential events to DOR locations
  • Partner with marketing to produce outreach materials and campaigns that promote the resorts as ideal event destinations
  • Build partnerships with brokers, destination management companies (DMCs), event planners, and executive coaches to drive group bookings
  • Manage the event booking process from inquiry through execution, coordinating with onsite resort teams to deliver seamless guest experiences
  • Customize and oversee event setups, including lodging arrangements, activity planning, meals, branding, and team-building sessions
  • Track and report on leads, bookings, event performance, and property utilization across all DOR locations
  • •Attend and represent DOR at relevant trade shows, tourism summits, and industry networking events
  • Work with internal stakeholders to integrate DOR into broader DLP Capital events or programs
  • Identify and pitch new event use cases unique to outdoor hospitality (e.g., wellness retreats, CEO unplugged weekends, leadership camps, content creator getaways)
